Permanent | £52,000 per annum

You could be coming from practice, industry or the not-for-profit sector. You may already be operating at this level or be a recently qualified accountant who is ready for that next step. The Job

Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll lead the day-to-day finance function and manage a small team.

It’s a broad role that will give you the opportunity to build on your existing experience across:

• Financial and management reporting
• Financial controls and cashflow management
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Business partnering with senior leaders
• Statutory accounts and external audit
• Taxation, VAT, payroll and pensions
• Improving financial systems, processes and controls

Person Specification

• Fully qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Strong technical accounting skills with sound understanding of financial controls and reporting
• Experience of statutory accounts and external audit
• Good experience of budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
• Experience of managing, supervising or developing finance colleagues
• Confidence working with non-finance stakeholders, providing insight, advice and constructive challenge
• Natural relationship builder with clear, confident communication skills
• Proactive, curious and keen to learn, with confidence to ask questions and get stuck in
• Ability to see the bigger picture while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Appetite to develop, take on greater responsibility and continue progressing
• Genuine connection with the organisation’s values and purpose

Salary & Benefits

• Salary up to £52,000 depending on experience
• 30 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays, increasing with service
