Charity Partnerships – and why they are important to us

Since launching our business in 2016, we’ve always believed that success should be about more than growth and profitability. From day one, we wanted to build a business that gave us the freedom to decide where our profits went and how they could make a positive difference in the communities around us.

Giving back was never an afterthought; it was part of the plan from the very beginning.

As we edge towards celebrating ten years in business, we’ve been reflecting on some of the incredible Welsh charities and organisations we’ve had the privilege of supporting along the way.

Why Supporting Welsh Charities Matters to Us

As a Welsh business, supporting organisations that make a real difference across Wales has always been important to us. The charities we’ve chosen to work with provide essential services, support vulnerable individuals and families, and strengthen communities throughout the country.

We know that every contribution, no matter the size, helps people closer to home. Whether that’s providing specialist care, supporting young people facing difficult circumstances, helping families through challenging times or bringing people together through the power of music, each organisation we’ve partnered with shares our belief that communities are stronger when people look after one another.

Supporting Incredible Causes

Over the last ten years we’ve proudly supported a number of amazing Welsh charities. We can’t mention them all, but here are a few that have left a lasting impression on us.

Tŷ Hafan

Tŷ Hafan was the very first charity we chose to support.

The team were fantastic to work with and we were humbled by both the hospice itself and the incredible work carried out every day to support children and families across Wales. What made the relationship even more special was that Tŷ Hafan was also one of our very first clients.

To have been trusted by such a respected organisation at the start of our journey, whilst also being able to support their fundraising efforts, was a real privilege and something we remain incredibly grateful for.

Llamau

One of our most memorable experiences was taking part in an Impact Day with Llamau.

Hearing the stories of the people they support throughout Wales was both heartbreaking and inspiring in equal measure. It brought home just how important their work is and the difference they make to vulnerable young people and women every single day.

The experience left a lasting impression on us and reinforced why supporting Welsh charities remains such an important part of our business.

Forget-Me-Not Chorus

We also built a wonderful relationship with the team at Forget-Me-Not Chorus.

From the outset, we felt genuinely welcomed and included. Rather than feeling like a sponsorship arrangement, it felt like a true partnership. We had the opportunity to attend events and see first-hand the joy, connection and support that the choir brings to people living with dementia and their families.

It’s difficult not to be moved when you witness the positive impact music can have on people’s lives.

Our Recent Partnership with City Hospice

Most recently, we have been proud to support City Hospice as our charity partner over the past two years.

As part of this partnership, we donated £1,995 from our profits to support the charity’s vital work across Cardiff. Recently, I visited the City Hospice offices to present the cheque and meet with Nicky Piper MBE, Corporate Partnerships Manager.

It was a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the partnership and learn more about the impact the charity continues to make across the city.

We are incredibly proud to have played a small part in supporting such an important service. Hospices across Wales and the wider UK rely heavily on fundraising, donations, and community partnerships, making support from local businesses more important than ever.

Looking Ahead

As we approach our tenth anniversary, we’re incredibly grateful to our clients, candidates, colleagues and partners who have supported us throughout the journey.

Without them, none of this would have been possible. Their support has enabled us not only to grow as a business but also to give back to causes that matter deeply to us.

Supporting Welsh charities will always be part of who we are. We look forward to building new partnerships, supporting more fantastic organisations and continuing to make a positive contribution to the communities that have supported us over the last decade.
