Marketing Manager

Permanent | £35,000 per annum

We are delighted to be supporting this well-known third sector organisation in helping them find a talented experienced marketer who has strong campaign management skills and a solid background in digital marketing.

As the new Marketing Manager, you will support the Head of Marketing. and ensure that appropriate planning and frameworks are in place to deliver annual marketing campaigns and digital activities across all areas of the organisation, whilst considering brand, maximising sales, diversifying audiences, and engaging with communities.

Initially a 6-month contract which could lead to a permanent role for the right person. Interim marketing professionals will also be considered.

 

The job

  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing and communications team to deliver strategic marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee the creation and management innovative campaign plans and digital activities to achieve targets; to include monitoring of sales, identifying trends, unities, and optimising sales.
  • Use existing data, analysis, and research to understand target audiences and inform campaign planning, including activity response rates / ROI.
  • Initiate and maintain strong working relationships with designers, agencies, internal stakeholders, and external partners to create engaging marketing assets.
  • Liaise with the Digital Marketing Communications Officer and oversee complementing digital efforts that support the wider strategic campaigns.
  • Monitor campaign spend and update planning documents on an ongoing basis to ensure campaigns and digital activities are delivered on time.
  • Oversee all other marketing activities including generating content, copy and briefs, proofing, and implementation.
  • Proactively contribute to marketing campaigns and digital activity planning, and develop innovative ideas for marketing campaigns, encouraging creative thinking from the wider marketing team.
  • Research and write engaging editorials for communications, as well as news stories.
  • Manage a direct marketing programme, including copy generation and data extraction, in line with campaigns developed and agreed to by Head of Marketing
  • Work with Head of Marketing and Data Analyst to review reporting and analysis which will in turn contribute to future strategic planning.

The person specification

  • Significant campaign experience, including evidence of developing creative and strategic marketing plans.
  • Enjoy working in a creative environment and understand consumer demographics.
  • Team player who has a strong sense of their own individual responsibility and can work on their own initiative.
  • Good organisational and planning skills with the ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong copy writing skills.
  • Track record of achieving demanding targets.
  • Confident and enthusiastic about working with audience analysis.
  • Experience of handling budgets successfully.
  • Experience of customer databases with a good understanding of GDPR.
  • Propensity to learn new applications quickly and to a high level of competence.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Motivated and committed.
  • A confident communicator with audience members, theatre staff and internal colleagues

Salary and benefits

  • Salary on offer is up to c£35,000 pa may pay more for the right person – 4-day week considered.
  • This role is initially a 6-month contract.
  • Normal working hours are 35 per week.
  • Annual leave is 25 days per annum pro rata.
  • Flexible/hybrid working – 3 days a week in the office.
