Eighteen months on from becoming a finalist for the Wales Start-up awards, we’re delighted to have moved into new offices in the Maltings, launched a brand new user-focused website and appointed a third recruitment partner to help manage the growing demand for our services.
With over 14 years’ experience in the recruitment industry, Jenny Griffiths (pictured above) will be responsible for helping businesses across south Wales recruit qualified accountancy, marketing and HR professionals.
“I am thrilled to have joined the Sitka team,” says Jenny. “I have followed their journey and growth over the last two and a half years and feel very proud to be part of such a well thought of and successful business.”
Sitka’s refreshing approach combines traditional recruitment and ‘search and selection’ techniques to enable them to offer, as one of our clients puts it, ‘the bespoke, personalised service which can be missing in the wider recruitment market’.
Now in our third year of business, we’re on track to increase our turnover by 50% this year. This success is largely down to increased concern around the availability of skilled candidates.
More employers are choosing to partner with us because they realise that recruiting candidates with the right skills requires a more thorough search process than they can dedicate time to. That’s why we’re delighted to have Jenny on board and be working out of excellent and well-positioned offices in the Maltings to provide the value-added services these employers need.
Thanks to recommendations from happy clients, we’ve acquired an impressive portfolio of clients including Creditsafe, Acuity Legal and Cardiff and Vale College. Having Jenny on board will enable us to support more organisations.
Karen Birch, who co-founded Sitka with me says: “Our priority is to get every appointment right first time, and this role was no exception. Jenny’s values, expertise and professional approach are ideally suited to Sitka’s ethos and have enabled her to fit seamlessly into the team. We’re delighted to be working with her.”

Throughout the process, they kept us informed and the whole process felt like a true partnership. Each candidate came to the interview with a great understanding of our business and had prepared thoroughly, particularly at the second stage interviews.
The recruitment process was a very smooth one with constant, non-intrusive updates. We benefited greatly from a personalised visit to our business, ensuring the right candidates were sourced for us. We received an excellent service.
The recruitment process went very smoothly and we were kept informed of progress regularly. Any candidate they weren’t sure of was discussed, and they took all of our feedback on-board. We have recruited two excellent candidates from the process.
The best thing about the experience, was the total confidence I was given at every stage that the recruitment was being professionally managed. The level of service received was exceptional.
I didn’t have to look through endless CVs, but was presented with only three, all of which could have been successful in the role. The successful candidate is performing well.
Sometimes in recruitment it is a case of being able to look behind the written CV and Karen was able to pull out experience that I had overlooked so that we were able to recruit the right person for us.
