Senior HR Advisor
Fixed Term | £36,000-£39,000 per annumOur client, a large not-for-profit organisation requires a collaborative and customer focussed HR professional to join their experienced and talented HR team for a 12 month FTC. You will work in a dedicated HR team, who together supporting approx. 1000 staff over numerous sites near Swansea’s southern peninsula.

This position would suit a HR generalist with a combination of strong communication skills with an evident passion for HR. Reporting into the HR Manager, the Senior HR Advisor will work closely with colleagues and the wider business and will supported by a recruitment officer in their day-to-day activities.

The job
- You will provide a professional advisory service to managers on a range of HR issues, including the application of HR policies, procedures and practices covering such areas as:-
- Recruitment and Selection
- Change Management
- Absence and Performance Management
- Disciplinary and Grievance matters
- Equality and Diversity
- Bullying & Harassment
- Health & Well-being
- Reward and recognition
- Will involve supporting Managers in the development, implementation and review of departmental HR plans to ensure the most effective and efficient use of resources. You will meet with managers regularly to ensure the proactive management of all HR issues that may arise.
- Will include coaching and advising managers at all levels in implementing effective performance management practices and raising standards in line with College’s performance management processes.
- You will keep abreast of developments in HR practice and case-law, undertaking research and benchmarking studies as required and updating or developing HR policies where relevant.
- Will also involve participation in the development and delivery of training to managers on HR procedures and practices
- You will support the implementation of Health and well-being initiatives and other Departmental priorities; taking the lead and project managing as delegated.
- You will monitor the implementation of HR procedures across all designated areas, using HR reports, implementing effective strategies to support managers in delivering consistency in their practice
The person
- You will have experience of working in a HR generalist role and be confident in supporting managers across a diverse range of services.
- You should ideally be registered with CIPD
- You will be computer literate and have demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Office software and online HR systems.
- You will be able to demonstrable experience of building positive and strong working relationships, rapport with stakeholders of all levels (director/employee)
- You should have strong communication skills (written and verbal)

- Salary is £36,000 – 39,000 – DOE
