HR Business Partner

Permanent | £45,000 per annum

Our client, based in Bristol, requires a collaborative and customer focussed HR professional to join their team.

Reporting into the HR Director, you will work in a dedicated HR team, who together support approx. 500 staff who are a mix of office and remote workers.

As an organisation who are developing their team to create a people-centric approach, this is a great opportunity to support managers and their staff by delivering a robust HR offering.  The role will involve providing strong operational and strategic support to the wider business in addition to professional advice and support to managers on all aspects of relationship management and employment legislation.  Other key areas will be learning and development through appraisal, coaching and training programmes to support business aims.

The role would suit a results driven HR professional who has gained exposure in the strategic operations of a business. You should be insightful and inquisitive in your approach with the ability to set solid foundations which will in turn positively influence people and performance.

The organisation offers employees a hybrid working arrangement.

The job

  • Involve supporting managers in the development, implementation and review of departmental HR plans to ensure the most effective and efficient use of resources. 
  • Meet with managers when required to ensure the proactive management of all HR issues that may arise.
  • Coach and advise managers at all levels in how to implement effective performance management practices and raising standards in line with business aims.
  • Keep abreast of developments in HR practice and case-law, undertaking research and benchmarking studies as required and updating or developing HR policies where relevant.   
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training to managers on HR procedures and practices.
  • Monitor the implementation of HR procedures across all designated areas, using HR reports, implementing effective strategies to support managers in delivering consistency in their practice.

The person

  • Experience of working in a HR generalist role and be confident in supporting managers across a diverse range of services.
  • Ideally be registered with CIPD
  • Computer literate and have demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Office software and online HR systems.
  • Demonstrable experience of building positive and strong working relationships, rapport with stakeholders of all levels (director/employee)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Salary & benefits

  • Salary is up to £45,000 per annum + benefits
  • The role is offered on a mix of home and office based.
