Sitka is delighted to be working with this well-established successful business in Cardiff. Working closely with the Head of Marketing, the role will involve overseeing various projects and offers a great opportunity for the right person to progress their marketing career further.

As the new Marketing Executive, you will provide an innovative and effective marketing and PR by engaging consumers and you will monitor market trends and assist with core strategies to increase awareness and understand behaviour in today’s market.

The job

  • Assist to develop, implement, and drive the marketing strategy
  • Evaluate all activity ensuring ROI is monitored and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Support the Head of Marketing in delivering publicity and general marketing campaigns.
  • Content writing in a competent, creative, and confident writing style. Writing for internal documents and external content and campaigns (both B2C and B2B)
  • Regularly review, analyse, and measure the success of current and/or past campaigns
  • Research new marketing opportunities
  • Brand management – ensure all marketing is on brand and messaging is consistent across all aspects of marketing
  • Work with the graphic designer, briefing in work and providing art direction where required.
  • Work with external suppliers such as printers and photographers to source quality promotional/print items and photography,
  • Feed into and support the Digital Marketing Executive on the creation of the monthly content calendar
  • Collate information from cross-company sources to generate original, news-worthy stories.
  • Draft/write online copy articles, blogs, social media, and website maintenance
  • Act as the key point of contact for all website queries, updates, and developments
  • Work with external web agency to ensure the website remains in good working health solve and develop new features/functionality on the website 
  • Build relationships with and act as the key point of contact to our partners

The person specification

  • Ideally have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent Marketing/Communications qualification or equivalent work-related experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a marketing role, with evidence of successful campaigns and strategies
  • Effective communicator both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrate good inter-personal skills and experience of developing relationships
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Good knowledge Microsoft for Office
  • Good knowledge of social media including blogging, micro-blogging, podcasts, and other online interaction functions
  • Good understanding of Content Management Systems
  • Social networking awareness
  • A proactive approach with an ability to manage workload and communications
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
