Product Manager

Permanent | £50,000-£60,000 per annum

We are working with this modern, innovative, scientific business in helping them find a talented and knowledgeable Product Manager.

This business is entering a new phase of growth and we are keen to find someone who is passionate about contributing to product success and who gets a buzz from working with key opinion leaders and customers to get a full understanding of their marketplace and products.

As an experienced Product Manager, developing a product roadmap for your products comes naturally to you as does working effectively with a business development team to ensure product messaging is aligned .


The job

  • Responsible for product launches and management of specific products
  • Development of definitions for product benefits and key functionality whilst working with the project team to ensure that these are realised
  • Ownership of commercial success of products within your portfolio
  • Propose and agree the product roadmap and marketing strategy
  • Work with key opinion leaders to ensure a joint up approach to product development and launches
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders including marketing, sales, distributors, and development
  • Develop new business opportunities and evaluate these

The person specification

  • Background in product management or strategic marketing within the medical devices sector is highly desirable
  • Experience with product management for medical devices is highly desirable
  • An understanding of the regulatory landscape and its effect on product positioning in Europe and North America would be advantageous
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to create persuasive financially-backed business cases supported by rigorous market intelligence
  • Ability to translate customer needs into a form that the development team can understand
  • Ability to empathise with the potential user base and evaluate their clinical needs
  • Strong communications and organisational skills
  • Relevant degree in a STEM subject would be of interest


Salary & benefits

  • Salary is up to £60,000 pa depending on experience
