Head of HR

Permanent | £55,000 per annum

We are delighted to be working with this client in North Cardiff, they form part of a global organisation which holds excellence at the heart of its operation.  They are looking to recruit a collaborative, dynamic and experienced Head of HR to lead the function. A member of the senior leadership team, the Head of HR role allows strategic input and reports to a HR Director, based in Europe. As Head of HR, this role influences the HR strategic plan and operational goals, contributing to organisation-wide policies which need to be aligned to local practices and procedures

The job

  • Lead and fully execute key initiatives that support the HR strategy, contributing on all key people processes (performance management, compensation, benefits, payroll, learning and development programs, etc.)

  • Within the agreed budget, create and implement a variety of learning and training programs to support the needs of the employees and the business

  • Develop and drive stakeholder change management plans appropriate to support incremental and transformational organisational change

  • Work closely with the HR leadership team to support all organisational changes and provides expert advice when called to do so  

  • Manage employee relations, partnering with key stakeholders to develop viable initiatives/interventions to create a positive and appreciative work culture    

  • Guide leaders and employees regarding Company policies, values, HR programs (benefits, pay and salary) administration and interpretation to ensure policies and procedures are handled consistently

  • Make use of data and analytics to uncover insights about employee engagement and opportunities to enhance retention and satisfaction

  • Have responsibility of managing the HR Budget for the Cardiff office  

  • Ensure that activities are in compliance with all local employment laws and regulations.

The person specification

  • Possess substantial experience in Human Resources with experience, in an international/multinational organization, Significant experience of working in a managerial or leadership role with a strong track record of personal achievement and advancement

  • Display strong strategic agility, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills – proven high learning agility

  • Able to forge outstanding working relationships across the team and with business leaders to influence the decision- making process. Trustworthy and discrete.

  • Proven experience of building/maintaining high performing teams

  • Dynamic problem solver that effectively oversees the execution of complex HR initiatives, whilst not shunning the day to day operational issues that need to be solved to ensure a strong internal customer focus

  • Have an international mindset and be culturally sensitive to working as part of a global HR team.

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or in a related field

  • CIPD Level 7

Package and benefits

  • Salary up to £55,000 per annum
